Communiqué on the New So-called Police Snitching by the IGCL

Once again, we are forced to respond to yet another accusation, in itself extremely serious, from the International Communist Current. The ICC is becoming increasingly ridiculous. [1] Its accusations and slanders, repeated over and over again until they are sickening, can only distort and weaken any defense against the real cases of police infiltration that communist groups, and above all tomorrow’s party, will inevitably have to face. Today, even if many in the proletarian camp do not pay attention to them, they can occasionally “scare”, or put off and demoralize, some young, inexperienced militants who would like to get closer to the Communist Left. Let us help them see things more clearly.

In a footnote of a 10 page article, Against Individualism and Circle Spirit in the 2020s [2] published in issue 27 of our journal, we mentioned that the ICC was no longer holding local section meetings, but “transversal” video meetings. In so doing, according to the ICC we would be “(...) publicly informing the state and all the world’s police forces about how the ICC organises its internal meetings! That’s the group’s raison d’être: to monitor the ICC in order to divulge on its website as much information as possible about our organisation and its militants”. [3]

We will not dwell on this organization’s sectarian degeneration and paranoid obsession with the IGCL. Why is it so afraid of the IGCL? Why does our text on the relationship between the militant and the communist organization bother it so much?

Let us just remember – the police must be having a good laugh - that the ICC has published numerous texts on the organization in which it explains its internal functioning. We shall just mention the 1982 Report on the Structure and Functioning of the Organization, which describes at length “the various relations between the parts of the organisation and the whole.” As far as the life of local sections is concerned, “we can thus enumerate certain of these rules: having regular meetings of local sections...” [4]

Clearly, the ICC confirms that they no longer exist. We criticize it from a political point of view – to which it will not respond – noting the parallel with the Stalinist Bolshevization of the 1920s, against which the Left of Italy fought within the International. In so doing, it was led to expound that “organisation on a factory cell basis is less suitable than territorial units [cells or local sections].” Were the Left of Italy also then cops? Was Lenin also a cop for publishing entire passages from the notes of the 2nd R.S.D.L.P congress in One Step Forward, Two Steps Backwards?

Notes:

[1. The many resigning members of the ICC who endorsed all these accusations when they were still members, and whom we meet from time to time, not only greet us respectfully and fraternally, but often begin by apologizing for having taken part in these slanders. This shows the depth of the militant convictions, at least with regard to these accusations, and the climate that reigns within this organization.
